Selective Admissions

L&C's Selective Admissions Programs are the following:

Associate in Applied Science Degree
  • Accelerated Associate in Management (5085A)
  • Dental Hygiene (5202A)
  • Nursing (5208A)
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant (5230A)
  • Paramedicine (5509A)
  • Therapeutic Massage (5255A)
Certificate of Proficiency
  • Dental Assisting (5202J)
  • Paramedicine (5509J)
  • Therapeutic Massage (5255J)
(Paper applications are no longer accepted for selective admissions programs.)

Pre-Admission Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Testing

Students wanting to be considered for admission to the Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene program must take a Health Occupations Aptitude Examination. This test is offered once a year, typically in January.

Pre-Admission Nursing Testing

Students wanting to be considered for admission to the Nursing program must take the HESI Nursing Admission Test.  The test must be completed at least one semester prior to entry into the program. Admission tests are offered biannually in October and April.
