Through the support of generous donors, the Lewis and Clark Community College Foundation provides more than $130,000 annually to deserving students through scholarships that provide assistance for items such as tuition, fees, books, supplies and other expenses not covered by traditional student loan and financial aid assistance.

These scholarships are awarded annually in the spring. Scholarship packets are published and distributed every year in February, with the scholarship application deadline in early April. Stay tuned for 2013-2014 scholarship opportunities.

Establishing a Scholarship

Scholarships are provided by support from various individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the community, who either contribute money annually to fund the needed support, or whom have established endowed scholarships. Endowed scholarships may be set up by individuals, families, or corporations through an initial minimum contribution of $20,000 or more to establish an annual scholarship in perpetuity. By definition, an endowed scholarship is one in which the fund principal remains intact and fund distributions are only drawn from the interest that is accumulated each year. These scholarships may be named to honor the memory of someone; identified with a family or corporation; or named after a particular cause, need, or group that is important to the donor. The Foundation Office works with the donor(s) to establish the selection criteria for their scholarships and may rest assured their wishes will be carried out explicitly.

For more information or to set up an Endowed Scholarship, please contact the Foundation Office.
