Accounting

Accounting services are needed by big corporations, small businesses, government, nonprofits, credit unions, labor unions, banks, individuals, enterprises of every stripe and every size, and of course, accounting firms.

That’s the good news for accounting majors. You are in high demand.

It’s essential that records be accurately kept so that trends can be tracked, analyses made and the best operational data be presented to CPAs and financial managers to make the best decisions for their organizations. It’s no wonder accounting has been called the “language of business.”

At L&C we teach you that language, in accounting principles, math, economics, taxes and business practices, using the latest in computer science and technology.

If you are a detail person, numbers-oriented, computer savvy and want a lot of employment options, accounting may be the field for you. L&C offers several options to enter this high demand career.

Graduates with an AAS degree in accounting have the option to transfer to some four-year bachelor’s degree programs, majoring in accounting. If you are definitely planning to get a four-year degree in accounting, you may want to start at L&C with an AS degree in business. You will enter as a junior at most four-year colleges.
