Electrical Journeyman

How critical is electricity? The answer is simple. Think blackout.

Even electrician apprentices who start out assisting electricians can land high-paying jobs. And you don’t have to work behind a desk.

If you work for the government, your job may involve extensive travel and performing emergency restorations during bad weather. If you work in the construction industry, you’ll read blueprints to install electrical system in offices and homes.

L&C's Associate of Applied Science Degree in electrical journeyman combines a strong foundation in mathematics, science and communication with apprenticeship training courses in electrician skills.

The goal of this program is to combine specialized skilled-trades courses with general education, science and math courses in an effort to provide students with the skills necessary, based on industry standards, to become electrical journeyman. The curriculum places emphasis on development of a common set of trade skills, as well as the acquisition of critical thinking, communication and problem solving ability.
