Alexandra Lovejoy, or "Dolly" as her friends call her, wants to follow in her father's footsteps
and become a police officer one day.
"I always enjoyed listening to his stories and they really intrigued me to become a cop
myself," she said. "And I absolutely love my criminal justice classes at L&C. They are very fun
and interesting."
Dolly plays shortstop for the Trailblazers, and has been playing softball she was about
five years old. At Bunker Hill High School, she played softball for four years as well as
basketball. A multisport athlete, she also played volleyball for three years and track for one
(long jump event).
"My highlight so far has been traveling to Florida with my Lewis and Clark team in 2010," she said.
"I decided to attend L&C because I love the campus, the classes, the people and I have really
come to love my team."
In addition to her athleticism, she is also accomplished in academics, and is a known
leader. She was on high honor roll throughout high school and grade school, and was captain
of the basketball, softball and volleyball teams at Bunker Hill High School.
Her parents are her mentors, always pushing her to do her best.
"They always believe in me no matter what the task," she said.
"The best thing about being a Trailblazer is representing the school with the people I love to
be around," Dolly said. "I love the campus and the people and the teachers."
After Lewis and Clark, Dolly plans to continue her education by earning a bachelor's degree,
with possibly a minor in finance.
Outside of class and off the field, Dolly enjoys basketball and horseback riding.
