Today the college received official communication that the Lewis and Clark Faculty Association filed a notice of intent to strike. The notice was filed last Friday with the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board.
We want to reiterate that this does not guarantee that there will be a strike. Informational picketing may occur on campus. However, all classes and events will continue to be held as scheduled.
The college remains hopeful that the faculty will see the college’s proposals as fair and appropriate, especially given the economic climate, when the LCFA takes the final proposals to a vote on or around Dec. 1.
