Godfrey, Ill. – In celebration of the newly founded partnership between Lewis and Clark Community College and the Alton Municipal Band, the College will sponsor the band’s 2010 Season Grand Finale Concert.
Under the direction of David Drillinger, the Alton Municipal Band will perform a wide variety of music to be enjoyed by listeners of all ages. Susan Parton Stanard, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Ensembles and Vocal Studies at L&C, will be the featured vocalist.
For children’s entertainment and for those who are young at heart, JoJo the Clown will lead the Children’s Parade during the show.
The concert will be held at The Commons on the Godfrey campus of Lewis and Clark, beginning at 8 p.m. Aug. 5.
Admission is free and the public is welcome.
